• To solidify the Mahaffey Theater Foundation’s role as the supporting charitable organization for the Mahaffey Theater. 
• To build sustainable sources of revenue through endowments to support community and arts education programming at the Mahaffey Theater. 
• To actively support and foster arts awareness and arts education. 
• To support community arts organizations, as a partner, in performance opportunities through human and financial resources at the Mahaffey Theater. 
• To enhance the quality of life for our community and visitors to our community through active advocacy and support for the arts in St. Petersburg and the Tampa Bay region.
• To encourage and celebrate life-long learning in the arts through performances, residencies, and master classes. 
• To re-establish the endowment fund and raise $1 million by December 2009.
